WHAT TO DO? Your house shook violently, the carport collapsed, the waterline broke and your daughter is overnighting at a friend’s in Burnaby.
In conjunction with the Dunbar Community Centre Association AGM on 25 April 2018 there will be an opportunity for those in attendance to learn more about what Dunbar Earthquake Preparedness is doing to make the community more resilient in the face of an emergency.
The DCCA is pleased to use this opportunity to offer this information session. The program will include a twenty minute preparedness seminar plus some hands on experience with various Grab an Go kits. The DEEP committee recently received funding to develop the Dunbar Disaster Support Hub – a gathering place post-disaster where neighbours can help each other, sharing resources and information. The community is stronger for the work this group has done to make us better prepared. DEEP continues to lead a grass roots disaster preparedness campaign, engaging Dunbar residents and neighbouring communities.
